Financial Services General Information

Ms. Tammy Good, Director

The WIU Finance Division provides services to internal and external clients. The Division directs the organization’s financial operations; processes payroll, benefits, purchase orders, accounts payable, and accounts receivable; coordinates insurance policies; and has budgeting and financial reporting responsibility for all programs.

The Finance Division also has responsibility for the joint purchasing activities for the Westmoreland Intermediate Unit Joint Purchasing Consortium for multi-purpose paper, diesel fuel, and unleaded gasoline. The joint purchasing program’s goal is to obtain quality products and services at the lowest price. Participating school districts and career and technology centers purchase materials and supplies while eliminating the costs of the bid procedures. The program assists school districts by preparing specifications, advertising and analyzing bids, conducting bid openings, recommending bid awards, and notifying successful and unsuccessful bidders. In addition, participants save money because of volume purchasing.
