Early Intervention Calendar

The Westmoreland Intermediate Unit (WIU) Early Intervention Program follows a structured academic calendar to ensure that eligible children receive consistent educational and developmental support. Early Intervention services through the WIU operate on an extended school-year schedule, running from August to August, with modified instructional days over the summer months. Families receive a detailed calendar outlining important dates, including:

• The first and last days of service
• Scheduled breaks and holidays
• Teacher in-service and professional development days
• Weather-related closures and make-up procedures
