The Westmoreland Intermediate Unit (WIU) Board of Directors has appointed Dr. Jason Stragand as Interim Executive Director. He will continue serving as Early Childhood Services Director while also assuming the responsibilities of Interim Executive Director.
Throughout his tenure at the WIU, Dr. Stragand has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to educational excellence, collaborative leadership, and serving the evolving needs of the region's schools.
As Early Childhood Services Director, Dr. Stragand has led one of the region's most comprehensive early intervention programs while championing innovative practices and high-quality services that support young learners and their families. His leadership has strengthened partnerships with WIU's 17-member school districts and reinforced the organization's mission to provide exceptional educational programs and services.
Dr. Stragand’s experience, collaborative approach, and deep understanding of the WIU's mission position him to guide the organization as it continues to meet the evolving needs of students, educators, school districts, and communities across Westmoreland County.
