Application Process

When you apply for a position with the Westmoreland Intermediate Unit, your resume and application will be reviewed against the requirements of the position to which you have applied.  If you are under consideration for candidacy, you will be contacted by a member of our Human Resources staff for an interview.  Some positions may require multiple interviews.  Throughout the interview process, you will be kept informed about your status.  All offers of employment are made pending the approval of the WIU Board of Directors and the successful completion of all new hire requirements including, but not limited to PA State Police Clearance, PA Child Abuse Clearance, and FBI Criminal History Record Information (CHRI) Fingerprint Clearance.
