The Westmoreland Intermediate Unit (WIU) Early Intervention Program is hosting a first-ever Virtual Town Hall to open our 2020-2021 school year. The Town Hall is intended to support our Westmoreland County Communities with information about the structure of our programs and services for the 2020-2021 school year.
WIU employees participated in a "Dress Down" fundraiser to aid and support children in receiving adaptive bikes, strollers, and devices.
The Westmoreland Intermediate Unit is excited to announce that it has been approved for a $200,000 grant from the Richard King Mellon Foundation's COVID-19 Economic Impact and Recovery Initiative. Of the 235 "Request for Ideas" submissions submitted, only 80 were invited to submit full proposals. Only 37 were funded at $5.25 million in total.
